The Passing Parade: Cheap Shots from a Drive By Mind

"...difficile est saturam non scribere. Nam quis iniquae tam patiens urbis, tam ferreus, ut teneat se..." "...it is hard not to write Satire. For who is so tolerant of the unjust City, so steeled, that he can restrain himself... Juvenal, The Satires (1.30-32) akakyakakyevich@gmail.com

JFK AND MY TWO CENTS: So what do I think happened? I think Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy without any help from anyone. I think the moment Oswald first saw Kennedy in his telescopic sight was the supreme moment of Oswald’s shitty pathetic little life. Watching the most powerful man in the world with the crosshairs on his head must have been a huge rush for Oswald. He must have thought, you ain’t shit now, Jack, your ass is mine. You can blow up the entire goddam world and you can’t even save your own ass. And then the car made the turn and headed down the street for the train overpass. Oswald looked through the sight and knew that once the Presidential limousine went under the overpass the President would go back to his life of power and privilege, and Lee Harvey Oswald would remain just another anonymous two-bit loser. I think Oswald would have done anything to keep from being just another face in the crowd. He saw the motorcade heading down the highway towards the overpass, saw the empty years ahead of him, and pulled the trigger.
