The Passing Parade: Cheap Shots from a Drive By Mind

"...difficile est saturam non scribere. Nam quis iniquae tam patiens urbis, tam ferreus, ut teneat se..." "...it is hard not to write Satire. For who is so tolerant of the unjust City, so steeled, that he can restrain himself... Juvenal, The Satires (1.30-32) akakyakakyevich@gmail.com

APROPOS NOTHING AT ALL: I suppose that whoever the Episcopalians consecrate as a bishop should be of little consequence to me, given that I am not an Episcopalian, but the consecration of a bishop openly living in sin poses an interesting question: if the plain meaning of the Biblical text and two thousand years of Christian moral teaching can be ignored to suit the politically correct agenda of the current leaders of that church, then why should anyone bother with Episcopalian moral teaching in the first place? Let us then, to paraphrase Lincoln, worship at the headquarters of the ACLU, where secularism and subjective morality can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocrisy.
