It's not that I am trying to cut down on the competition, although that's not such a bad idea, now that I think of it, but because of the nature of this blog: essays don't really require links, at least I don't think so. If a piece is good then it can stand by itself; if it isn't then no amount of pointing to someone else's blog will help it.
