SOCIAL PROBLEM?: Clearly, while the government should strongly condemn the recent spate of parrot attacks on young vampires as an example of the hooliganism too many young parrots seem to think is fashionable these days, whether the government should divert precious national resources to fighting this problem while the nation is at war is another thing entirely. This is something families and local communities should handle, thereby leaving the Federal government to waste money on more big ticket items like ethanol subsidies and studies of the mating habits of the deluded Patagonian toothfish.
